Not-So-Spooky Halloween Accessories

Follow the simple steps listed below to create these not-so-spooky Halloween inspired clay accessories.

You will need:

- Sculpey polymer clay

- rolling pin

- cookie cutter shapes

- hair clips and/or bobby-pins

- earring hooks and loops

Start by rolling our your clay. We added plain white to the "granite" color Sculpey clay to give it a lighter look (see below).

Using cookie cutters of your choice, cut your shapes.

Place on a cookie sheet (lined with wax paper) and bake as directed. Ours called for 15 minutes on 275 degrees.

Take the baked clay out of the oven and allow to cool. Add a face (if desired) using a fine-tip sharpie pen. Using jewelry adhesive or hot glue, attach your hair accessories to the clay pieces.

Wear and enjoy!

To make the arch earrings, start with three (3) small balls of clay and roll them until you have three long skinny noodle-like shapes. Form them into an arch. Using a razor blade cut the ends. Before baking add a small hole to the top arch for the earring hook to attach. Bake and allow to cool. Finally, add your earring hooks and you're ready to wear!

We made these arch earrings using Sculpey oven-bake clay in the color "granite."
