DIY Holiday Hair Accessories

Follow the simple instructions below to create adorable holiday hair accessories your little ones will want to wear all year long!

1. Party Hat

To create this adorable mini party hat, cut a circle into felt or a glitter sheet (you can find them in the felt sheet aisle at you local craft store). Make one single cut from edge to center of the circle. Work the circle into a triangle and fasten with hot glue. Glue the triangle onto the "wrong side" of the glitter sheet and trim the circle base. Attach a pom pom and hot glue to a hair clip.

2. Gold Bow

You'll need a 4.5" piece of ribbon and a 1.5" piece of ribbon to create this simple bow. Using the longer piece, make a loop and glue together. Pinch the center and wrap the 1.5" inch piece around the middle and glue. Attach to hair clip using hot glue.

3. Trio of Pom Poms

Super simple. Attach pom poms of your choice to a hair clip using hot glue.

4. Red Bow

Another easy bow! Make a simple bow of desired length and ribbon. Glue to a hair clip.

5. Pearl Star

Cut out a desired image out of stiff felt. Using needle and thread, stitch pearls sporadically to the felt piece until covered. Attach to a hair clip using hot glue.

6. Single Pom Pom

So simple. Pom pom. Bobby pin. Glue. DONE!

7. Star Bobby Pin

Cut out a desired shape out of a glitter sheet (found near the felt sheets at the craft store). Attach onto bobby pin or clip with hot glue.

8. Twine Bow

Wrap twine around two fingers. In the center wrap the twine to create a bow. Glue to bobby pin or hair clip using hot glue.

9. Simple Dot

You won't believe it, but we used hot glue to create this simple dot bobby! Dollar Tree sells colored glitter hot glue sticks and you can do all sorts of things with them. Using wax paper, create shapes and allow to dry. Peel off and attach to bobby pin or clip using super glue or adhesive.

10. Reindeer

We found all sorts of festive wooden shapes at craft stores around town. Simply glue a wooden shape to a bobby pin or clip.
