DIY: David Bowie Costume

This costume might be easy but it packs a super RAD punch. Follow the instructions below to turn your tot (or yourself) into the "Picasso of Pop," David Bowie!

For faceprint, we used our Snazaroo set, which we LOVE! You can find sets on Amazon for as little as $6.00. This one comes with 8 colors, a brush, sponge and a step-by-step instruction booklet for some super cute face paint characters. But you're welcome to use what you like. Here's one for $10 at Target. Or pick up a set from Dollar Tree. No need to spend a fortune. You'll only be using blue and red.

Ok. Let's get started...

Using, your brush and red paint, start by making a simple "Z" on the forehead.

Next, draw vertical lines down to the brow.

Follow the arch of the brow to connect the vertical lines. Then draw an upside-down triangle under the eye.

Fill in the shapes.

Add a vertical blue line down the straight side of the lightning bolt.

Voile! You're done. If you're not happy with the first round, use a wet wipe and try it again. Clearly we're not professionals, we got better with practice too!

If you want to dye your little one's hair red, you'll need to dip a damp sponge into the red colored face paint. Then, carefully paint the hair from scalp to ends. Throw on a jean jacket and you're ready to Rock and Roll!

Ok it's your turn!! Have fun and Rock on!
